Biomedical Gelatin & Collagen

Our beMatrix™ and cellMatrix™ gelatin and collagen products are created using proprietary technology to yield unmatched safety and quality.  Controlled for exceptionally low endotoxin levels and enhanced purity, beMatrix™ and cellMatrix™ products are well suited for a range of biomedical applications.

beMatrix™ products for biomedical use and tissue engineering:

  • Gelatin LS-H – Alkaline-treated gelatin (~300 Bloom) derived from porcine skin, endotoxin level :≤ 10 EU/g 
  • Gelatin LS-W – Alkaline-treated gelatin (~100 Bloom) derived from porcine skin, endotoxin level : ≤ 10 EU/g 
  • Collagen FD  – Freeze-dried atelocollagen derived from porcine skin, endotoxin level : ≤ 100 EU/g. Available in bottles or sponges.
  • Collagen AT – Acid-extracted collagen solution (3mg/ml) derived from porcine tendon, endotoxin level : ≤0.5 EU/ml
  • Collagen TE – Pepsin-solubilized collagen solution (5mg/ml) derived from porcine skin, endotoxin level: ≤0.5 EU/ml
  • Collagen BM – Pepsin-solubilized collagen solution (5mg/ml) derived from porcine skin (frozen)

cellMatrix™ collagen solutions for three-dimensional cell culture and coating:

  • Type I-A – Ideal for gell culture. Acid-extracted telocollagen solution derived from porcine tendon
  • Type I-P – Recommended for gell culture and collagen-coated culture. Pepsin-solubilized atelocollagen with softer gel formulation
  • Type I-C – For use in collagen-coated culture.  Pepsin-solubilized Type I collagen derived from porcine skin
  • Type III – Ideal for collagen-coated culture.  Non-gelling Type III collagen derived from porcine skin
  • Type IV – Type IV collagen derived from Bovine lens capsules.  Non-gelling collagen purified with pepsin treatment

    • cellMatrix™ collagen solution Type I-A (20ml bottle)
    • 2 solutions of concentrated cell culture – Ham’s F-12 and MEM-Hank’s (5ml bottle, each)
